Reflecting God's Love Through a Caring Community

About Us

We are a caring community of all ages and diverse perspectives that invites you to laugh, learn and grow spiritually with us.

We give 10% of our weekly offerings to others in our community.  Each month a new charity is selected to receive our gifts.  Examples include Habitat for Humanity, Snohomish County Center for Battered Women, Operation Christmas Child, Lake Stevens Food Bank, Everett Gospel Mission, The Little Red Schoolhouse, Cocoon House and EquiFriends.
  • In August, our gifts will be given to Habitat for Humanity. To learn more about Habitat for Humanity click here.  For information about Snohomish County Habitat for Humanity click here.

We are part of our community's history. Holy Cross celebrates its 25th Anniversary with several special events in 2008! For information about more special events marking our 25 years, see the Happenings page.

The first worship service of Holy Cross Lutheran Church was held in 1982 at Hillcrest Elementary School in Lake Stevens, where the congregation continued to meet until the new church building was dedicated on October 26, 1986.

We are a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).  For more information about the ELCA, go to http://www.elca.org/

We are part of our world. Each month Holy Cross promotes a simple idea for everyone to try, an idea that has been made a regular part of someone’s life in this congregation!  These will not be random, but purposeful acts of kindness toward our mother earth.

We could be a real change in your life. Holy Cross is a changing community ~ which is not surprising! Some changes are welcomed and others can seem overwhelming.  Does that sound like life for just about everybody?  Of course!  As disciples of Jesus Christ, members and friends of Holy Cross are called to be mindful that God's love is revealed in all the moments of life.  Part of the mission of this congregation is to nurture a faith that can come to trust God's grace and kindness during days of joy and sorrow, celebration and regret.  As faith is nurtured, we seek to become more diligent in service to those who find themselves overwhelmed by their changing circumstances.  Holy Cross is convinced that serving others is serving Christ-in-the-world.  If you are looking for a real church, real people, real Bible study, real discipleship ~ or a real change in your life, come, find out how God is changing folks here!
